What We Believe:

ABOUT THE BIBLE

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it is inspired by God, it is trustworthy, true, and without error in what it teaches.

2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21

ABOUT GOD

We believe there is one true God, the Creator and Ruler of the universe. God eternally exists as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — three distinct persons in perfect unity, commonly referred to as the Trinity. He is holy, loving, sovereign, and just, and He is actively working today to save, transform, guide His people, and build His Church.

Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19

ABOUT JESUS

Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is co-equal with the Father. He is fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all humanity by dying on the cross. We believe Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, demonstrating His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven, is alive today, and will return again to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.

John 1:1,14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is present and active in the world today, drawing people to recognize their need for salvation through Jesus Christ. From the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit lives in every believer. He gives Christians power to live for God, understand spiritual truth, and follow God’s leading. We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is available to all believers and empowers us for worship, witness, service, and mission.

John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8

ABOUT SIN

Sin is anything that separates us from God and goes against His perfect will and design. All humanity has sinned and fallen short of God’s standard. Because sin separates us from God, we need forgiveness and restoration. Our only salvation from sin is found in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23

ABOUT SALVATION

Salvation is a free gift from God that cannot be earned by good works. Only Jesus can provide salvation, and we receive it by repentance and faith, trusting Him as Lord and Savior. When we turn to Jesus, God is faithful to forgive us, free us from the weight of sin, and give us new life. Eternal life begins the moment a person receives Jesus Christ by faith.

Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10

ABOUT BAPTISM

We believe water baptism by immersion is for every believer and is commanded by Christ. Baptism is an outward testimony of the inward work God has done in the life of a believer. It represents our identification with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection, and it declares that we have chosen to follow Him. While baptism does not save, it is an important step of obedience for those who have placed their faith in Christ.

Matthew 28:19; Romans 1:16

ABOUT THE GOSPEL

The Gospel is the Good News that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose on the third day, as foretold in the Scriptures. His death and resurrection made our sins forgiven and our reconciliation to God possible. We receive this salvation by repenting, turning from sin, trusting in God’s promises through Christ, and submitting to Jesus as Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:16
